After announcing Trivia Night last week, its now being postponed until later in the year due to many of us being away for work and the like and struggling to get organised. Stay tuned for the new date. Last week we saw a great turn out of over 40 boats on the water in the afternoon in addtion to the massive training fleet - fantastic to see so many enjoying the great conditions. This week we have the last week of GISBS, plus tackers and the usual Summer Series racing. [more].

Flat and fast conditions rewarded those who headed out for the M J Peterson and M Trophies last week at MSC - one again we can't always rely on the forecast with the winds easing for the race. The new RIB has arrived and you'll get to see this in action this week - the naming competition is also in full swing so if you have any ideas, any at all be sure to drop them in to the box at the canteen. This week we have a Championship followed by a Perpetual and as per usual both count towards the Aggregate.[more.]

Sail training in 2010 got off to a great start last week with 2 x Tackers and 2 x GISBS groups in what surely must be a record for the club. Well done to Dale and all the Volunteers for getting such a great program underway. Fortunately the weather held out in the morning to allow time on the water and a great start to the training program. Last weeks heats of the summer series were abandoned due to a 25+ knot eastery. This week's forecast is looking much better for Race 15 and 16. Be sure to check out the news on the upcoming M J Peterson and M Trophy races below. [more.]
